The flower traditionally used for liver health*

Why it works

Milk Thistle contains a group of flavonoids collectively called silymarin, which help maintain healthy liver function and are standardized within each capsule to help ensure you receive their benefits.*

People with concerns over their liver health who were administered either 420 mg of silymarin from Milk Thistle or placebo daily for 4 weeks saw a significant improvement in two liver function enzymes when compared to the placebo, indicating that supplementation with Milk Thistle may promote liver health.1* Further, during a two year clinical trial, 170 subjects with liver concerns received either 140 mg of silymarin, the active component in Milk Thistle, or a placebo three times daily. Results indicate silymarin may support liver health, as those receiving silymarin had improved overall wellness when compared to those receiving the placebo.2*

What the research says

Your liver is the chemical processor of the body. It detoxifies your blood and plays a key role in metabolic function and synthesis of proteins needed for normal blood clotting. Milk Thistle is an herb with antioxidant properties that helps fight free radicals.* Free radicals can cause oxidative stress, which may damage cells. The flavonoids in Milk Thistle also help promote overall health and well-being.*
